On March 3rd, the South Carolina Department of Commerce will hold the 24th Annual Rural Summit in Sumter, SC. The Rural Summit is an annual educational event for rural community leaders, economic developers and state officials to share ideas, experiences and practical knowledge to improve rural South Carolina. The agenda includes award presentations to honor those individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the economic development of South Carolina’s rural communities.
Come join us in Sumter, S.C. where leaders from across the state will assemble for the 24th Rural Summit to hear an informative and inspiring program that will challenge attendees to return home to improve their local communities. Seating for the 2014 Summit is limited.
2014 Rural Summit Photo Contest
Calling for entries for the tenth annual Amateur Rural Photography Contest.
Sponsored by the Small Business and Rural Development Division, the Rural Photography Contest is part of the annual South Carolina Rural Summit, which will be held in Sumter on March 3, 2014.
The contest is open to the public, and entries should reflect the unique features of rural life in the Palmetto State. Fifteen finalist photos will be chosen by S.C. Department of Commerce staff and displayed at the Rural Summit. Attendees of the Rural Summit will vote, and the winning photo will be announced at the end of the program on March 3rd.
