Company acquires Companion Property and Casualty Insurance Company, announces expansion of existing Richland County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Enstar Group Limited (NASDAQ: ESGR), a company that specializes in the acquisition and management of diversified insurance businesses, through its U.S. subsidiary, has acquired Companion Property and Casualty Insurance Company and renamed it Sussex Insurance Company. Enstar US is investing $500,000 in the Richland County operations, allowing the Sussex business to retain all existing 120 positions, as well as creating more than 60 new jobs over the next nine months.

To expand its newly-acquired Richland County Operations – Sussex Insurance Company – Enstar US is relocating to a 36,000-square-foot facility, which is located at 221 Dawson Road.
