Electro-Spec, Inc. launching new operations in Lexington County

Company creating 53 jobs at manufacturing facility

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Electro-Spec, Inc., a specialty plating manufacturer, is locating new production operations in Lexington County. The new development is projected to bring $3.1 million of capital investment and create 53 new jobs.

With a customer base in North America, Asia and Europe, Electro-Spec is an industry-leading provider of gold, silver, nickel, copper and Tri-M3™ (tri-alloy) electroplating. Serving the aerospace, medical, telecommunications and automotive industries, the company also provides heat treating and passivating services, which removes impurities from parts and provides resistance to oxidation and corrosion.

Electro-Spec will be establishing its new operations in a 10,000-square-foot facility located at 307 Industrial Drive in Lexington, S.C. Hiring for the new positions is projected to begin in Fall 2017, and interested applicants should e-mail Sarah Smith at [email protected].

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a $100,000 Closing Fund grant to Lexington County to assist with the costs of building upfits.
