COLUMBIA, S.C. - Individuals and companies across South Carolina are being recognized for their many contributions to their communities and to economic development this week as part of the 24th annual Industry Appreciation Week, held March 31-April 4.
The South Carolina Department of Commerce observes Industry Appreciation Week by honoring individuals from each of the state's 46 counties as Ambassadors for Economic Development. These individuals include local leaders from the private sector representing a variety of businesses and economic development organizations committed to securing new jobs and investment in their communities.
The Industry Appreciation Week awards will be presented on Thursday, April 3, and the names of the ambassadors from each county will be released April 4 along with a link to the photos of each ambassador with Governor Haley.
Five young entrepreneurs also will be honored for their philanthropic work within their communities. Those names and photos will be included in the news release and link distributed on Friday, April 4.
