Over the last year, South Carolina’s automotive industry has experienced remarkable growth. In June, BMW announced a $600 million expansion in the Upstate; and in September, Volvo Cars announced a new product line and office facility for its $1 billion Lowcountry campus. With these and other major investments taking place, some small and medium-sized business owners may be wondering how they might take advantage and become a part of this automotive success.
That’s why S.C. Commerce is collaborating with the S.C. Automotive Council to host an Automotive B2B Supplier Matchmaker event on February 28. Taking place in conjunction with the S.C. Automotive Summit, the fourth annual event provides an opportunity for suppliers to connect with original equipment manufacturers and tier one suppliers statewide.
This year, companies, like BMW, Bosch, Continental, Draexlmaier, JTEKT, Michelin and Volvo Cars, will pre-select from the list of pre-registrant suppliers with whom they wish to meet. One-on-one, 10-minute meetings will then take place.
To ensure that your firm will be able to participate, register today. Pre-registration is open through January 22.
