“Succeeding in business is all about making connections.”
That quote by international business magnate Sir Richard Branson mirrors Team S.C.’s approach to connecting industry. We understand that a key component to a company’s success is the ability to create mutually beneficial relationships with other businesses.
That’s why the S.C. Commerce Business Services team works hard each and every day to create an environment where business leaders in South Carolina have the opportunity to learn about each other and how they can work together to further growth.
Our business-to-business (B2B) supplier matchmaker events help make that happen. They provide a venue for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 companies to meet with in-state suppliers in hopes of securing new business contracts.
Last week, our team, along with Charleston County and other partners, hosted the NASA Supplier Matchmaking Session. The virtual event allowed companies to connect with NASA officials and prime contractors to network and form partnerships. Attracting more than 300 attendees, the session included representatives from 16 NASA sites and nearly 500 matchmaking appointments.
Additionally, S.C. Commerce is collaborating with the S.C. Automotive Council to host an automotive B2B matchmaking event on May 11 during the S.C. Automotive Summit. Registration is currently underway. For more details, click here.
Relationships are the pillar of business, and our B2B events are one of the many resources available for companies to find their perfect match. After all, the more we’re all connected, the greater the opportunities for success.
