Businesses locate where they feel they can be profitable and have success. A major component in determining whether or not a company can have success is its ability to efficiently and effectively transport goods to market. Recognizing that, Team South Carolina is always looking to enhance its robust infrastructure and logistics network. Those efforts took a major step forward Monday as the S.C. Ports Authority celebrated the official grand opening of Inland Port Dillon.
Located in close proximity to Interstate Highway 95 in Dillon County, the new facility will allow the port to handle increased intermodal rail cargo volume and deepen its reach into markets through the Carolinas to the Northeast and Midwest. Coming on the heels of last month's celebration of construction beginning on the Charleston Harbor deepening project, this week's event is a testament to Team South Carolina's commitment to providing unmatched global connectivity.
