The S.C. Commerce Business Services team recently partnered with the Fort Lawn Community Center to host the inaugural Small Business Forum for the town of Fort Lawn and surrounding areas. Attendees traveled from Chester, Chesterfield, Lancaster and York counties, representing eight cities in the region.
The Small Business Forum gave existing businesses, new entrepreneurs and potential business owners access to resources in a one-stop shop. Additional agencies and statewide partners that support small business development were on hand. The groups shared valuable business resources, programs and upcoming events that will be beneficial to local entrepreneurs.
The Small Business Forum ended with a Q&A session and an opportunity to schedule one-on-one appointments with state and national partners, including; S.C. Business One Stop; S.C. Division of Small and Minority Business Contracting and Certification; SCORE; S.C. Small Business Development Centers; U.S. Department of Agriculture; and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
