International trade is an integral part of South Carolina’s identity. S.C. Commerce works with companies of all sizes to develop and grow their businesses all around the world. In 2020, South Carolina’s total export sales topped $30.3 billion, with the state’s exporters selling products in 195 countries and territories around the world. And, South Carolina leads the nation in the export sales of tires, completed passenger vehicles and ball and roller bearings.
To help companies sell products and services in new international markets, S.C. Commerce offers a variety of resources including trade counseling, export training seminars, opportunities for international introductions through missions and trade shows and a grant program to assist qualified companies in these efforts.
