In an effort to build trade and investment relationships around the world, S.C. Commerce routinely leads mission trips to various countries, allowing our state and its businesses to take advantage of the opportunities that exist beyond our borders.
Earlier this month, Team South Carolina returned from one such mission to China and South Korea. Accompanied by our state delegation, four South Carolina-based firms participated in the trip, which provided increased market access to this region. In addition to visiting Seoul, several of the companies held industry meetings in Ansan, Daegu, Pochon and Hwasung, South Korea; Shanghai, China; and Taipei, Taiwan.
If your South Carolina business is interested in exporting, our international trade team can help companies of all sizes identify potential markets and customers. This August, our team will be leading another trip – an automotive trade mission to Mexico – where companies will have the opportunity to participate in one-on-one meetings with prospective distributors, agents and partners.
