More than 70 percent of the world’s purchasing power is located outside of the United States. Recognizing this, S.C. Commerce works to support South Carolina companies seeking to expand their international footprints and take advantage of the opportunities that exist in foreign markets.
Among the services offered by the state is a series of export training events, designed to provide businesses with insight into specific issues that affect international trade. Next month, one such event is taking place in Columbia, S.C. on June 15. Focused on the Harmonized System and Schedule B listing for exports, the workshop will allow firms to gain a better understanding of different product classifications.
