In South Carolina, we understand the importance of partnerships. When companies decide to make an investment within our borders, we commit to supporting them every step of the way.
Last summer, Charter NEX Films, a specialty film manufacturing firm, announced plans to establish a new $85 million plant in Richland County. Having recently selected its primary contractor, the company was ready to begin looking for various subcontractors and suppliers to assist with the construction of the new 140,000-square-foot facility. That’s where Team South Carolina stepped in.
On November 7, the S.C. Department of Commerce partnered with Richland County and Hoffman Planning, Design and Construction, Inc., to host an outreach event, allowing the company to build relationships with potential subcontractors and suppliers.
Taking place in Blythewood, S.C., the event attracted more than 175 individuals, providing everyone in attendance with the opportunity to talk to the designated decision-maker for their commodity.
Those that were unable to attend or want to obtain additional information on the project are encouraged to contact [email protected].
