A cornerstone of South Carolina’s economic development efforts is ability key players have to work together. The state has a proven ability to work together – quickly and efficiently – to recruit new companies and to grow existing industry across South Carolina.
One recent example of the state’s collaborative efforts was the Economic Development Workshop hosted in Columbia by the S.C. Commerce team. The annual training helps ensure economic development activities are aligned on the state and county levels, and it also provides an opportunity to develop strategies and cultivate relationships.
County economic development leaders learned how to leverage state economic development resources in their recruitment efforts, how to maximize partnerships with allies and stakeholders, and heard the latest on S.C. Commerce’s rebranding process.
S.C. Commerce hosts trainings like this throughout the year to ensure economic development stakeholders have the latest information on South Carolina’s competitive advantages for companies.
