Letter of Support Request

As part of S.C. Commerce’s commitment to South Carolina’s business community, the agency will provide written support for various projects or initiatives, when appropriate. Letters of Support include, but are not limited to letters in support of an entity’s application for grant funding, letters that support an entity’s specific strategic efforts, etc.

S.C. Commerce reserves the right to decline a Letter of Support request for any reason and will have final approval of any letter’s language and signatory. Please allow S.C. Commerce staff a minimum of 15 business days to evaluate a request.

Have any other governmental entities been contacted about submitting a Letter of Support for the present request?
To assist with a timely response, a draft letter – for consideration – is required. The draft letter should clearly articulate what the project is and provide information highlighting its relevancy to S.C. Commerce and its importance to economic development in South Carolina.
