Bericap SC, LLC, a leading global plastic closure manufacturer, today announced plans to expand operations in Cherokee County. The company is investing $19.7 million into the expansion.

Founded in 1926, Bericap SC, LLC develops innovative plastic closures in 24 factories around the world serving customers in more than 100 countries.

Blue Diamond Industries, a subsidiary of Hexatronic Group AB in Sweden and a manufacturer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit materials for the protection of fiber optic, data and power cables, today announced the formalization on establishing operations in Laurens County.

Somnus Mattress International LLC, a manufacturer of hybrid, memory foam mattresses, today announced plans to establish operations in Cherokee County. The company’s $13 million investment will create 55 new jobs.

Somnus Mattress International LLC produces multi-layer mattresses that combine memory foam with an innerspring system. The mattresses are compressible and roll packable, which leads to more efficient shipping.

Samuel Packaging Systems Group, a division of Samuel, Son & Co. (USA) Inc., today announced plans to expand operations in York County. The company’s $11.5 million investment will create an estimated 20 new jobs.

Samuel Packaging Systems Group is a complete, single-source supplier for clients’ packaging and unitizing needs. The company specializes in polyester (PET) strapping, a lower cost and more durable alternative to steel strap.

Kostwein, a high-tech machine manufacturer, today announced plans to establish operations in Greenville County. The $8.5 million investment will create 95 new jobs.

Founded in 1921 and headquartered in Austria, Kostwein produces machines, modules and high-tech components for all sectors of mechanical engineering.

Opening the company’s first U.S. facility at 500 Hartness Drive in Greenville, Kostwein’s new operation will increase the company’s manufacturing capabilities.

Fiber Industries, a leading American textiles manufacturer, today announced plans to expand operations in Darlington County. The company’s more than $30 million investment will create over 50 new jobs.

A full-service manufacturer, Fiber Industries produces polyester staple fiber for high-end performance fabrics, workwear, knit goods, the automotive industry and more.

MycoWorks, a biotechnology company that specializes in mycelium-grown materials for use as sustainable, luxury-quality leather alternatives, today announced plans to establish operations in Union County. The company’s $107 million investment will create 400 new jobs.

Chief Buildings, a subsidiary of Chief Industries, Inc. and a premier metal building system manufacturer, today announced plans to establish operations in Lancaster County. The company’s $22.1 million investment will create 102 new jobs over the next five years.

Shamrock Technologies, Inc. (Shamrock), one of the world’s largest processors and developers of specialty natural and synthetic wax additives, today announced plans to establish operations in Laurens County. The company’s $19.4 million investment will create growth opportunities in emerging markets.

Innovative Construction Group (ICG), a subsidiary of PulteGroup, Inc., today announced plans to establish operations in Florence County. The $35.6 million investment will create 179 new jobs and is part of PulteGroup, Inc.’s ongoing expansion of its ICG platform.
