Gehl Foods, LLC (Gehl Food & Beverage Companies), a leading food and beverage manufacturing company, today announced it has established operations in Colleton County. The company’s $46 million investment is creating 106 new jobs.

Founded in 1896, Gehl Food & Beverage Companies is a market-leading producer of dairy-based and dairy alternative shelf-stable beverages, cheese sauces, soups, broths, teas, wine and spirits and much more.  

Concentrated Active Ingredients & Flavors, Inc. (CAIF), a supplier of innovative naturally sourced ingredients, today announced its plans to establish operations in Lexington County. The $5 million investment will create 20 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Premium Peanut, an innovative, grower-owned peanut shelling company, today announced plans to establish operations in Orangeburg County. The $64.3 million investment will create 130 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Mira International Foods, Inc. (Mira), a food crafting and distributing company, today announced plans to establish operations in Beaufort County. The more than $2 million investment will create 28 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Shenandoah Growers, Inc., a national leader in commercially advanced indoor agriculture, today broke ground on its next indoor ‘Biofarm,’ located in Anderson County. The project will create 50 local, well-paying jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Prestage Farms of South Carolina, LLC, a division of Prestage Farms, today announced plans to construct a new processing facility in Kershaw County. The $150 million investment will create 292 new jobs.

Founded in 1983, Prestage Farms is a family-owned, family-led producer of quality pork and poultry products. With facilities in seven states and more than 2,700 employees, Prestage Farms has operated in South Carolina since 1994.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Nestlé USA, a leading food and beverage company, today unveiled plans to expand operations in Cherokee County. The $100 million investment will create approximately 160 new jobs.

A division of Nestlé S.A., headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, Nestlé USA’s portfolio includes brands such as STOUFFER’S, COFFEE MATE, DIGIORNO and NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE.

The South Carolina Department of Commerce today released its 2020 industry recruitment results. In total, the state won 126 economic development projects, accounting for $4 billion in capital investment and 11,147 new jobs.
