Mumford Industries, Inc. (Mumford Industries), a post-industrial plastics recycling company and producer of Retrieve® sustainable film products, today announced plans to expand operations in Greenwood County. The company is investing $2 million and creating 33 new jobs.
ACI Plastics South establishing operations in Pickens County
ACI Plastics South, a thermoplastics processor and recycler, today announced plans to establish operations in Pickens County. The company’s $4 million investment will create 21 new jobs.
For more than 35 years, ACI Plastics South has been known for its separation technologies for paint removal and instrument panels, as well as density, electrostatic and optical separation.
PreZero US expanding operations in Oconee County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – PreZero US, a recycling and waste solutions company, today announced plans to expand operations in Oconee County. The $11.5 million investment will create 32 new jobs.
With state-of-the-art recycling facilities, PreZero US provides end-market solutions to waste generators and collectors. The company’s facilities convert plastic and organic waste into valuable raw materials and commodities.
Cypress Creek Renewables expanding operations in Anderson County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Cypress Creek Renewables (Cypress Creek), a leading solar and storage energy company, today announced plans to grow operations in South Carolina with a new solar project in Anderson County. The company has taken the first steps to invest up to $68 million in a 50-megawatt (MW) solar facility in the county, capable of powering 9,100 homes annually.
Last Step Recycling, LLC establishing operations in Chester County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Last Step Recycling, LLC, an automotive shredder residue (ASR) company, today announced plans to establish operations in Chester County. The $46.4 million investment will create 50 new jobs.
Founded in 2019, Last Step Recycling, LLC processes ASR to capture metals such as copper, aluminum and other resources. These recycled metals are then used in appliances, automobiles and technology equipment across numerous industries.
State of South Carolina announces 2020 industry recruitment results
The South Carolina Department of Commerce today released its 2020 industry recruitment results. In total, the state won 126 economic development projects, accounting for $4 billion in capital investment and 11,147 new jobs.
