QUOTES

“We are excited to be part of the success story that is utility-scale solar energy in South Carolina. Power from this project will be sold for under four cents per kilowatt-hour, one of the lowest prices for solar seen yet in the state. Because this price is fixed over the 20-year purchase contract, it should create significant savings for utility companies and their ratepayers. These long-lived, capital-intensive power projects require close collaboration with our host communities, and we’re grateful for their steady support, including in particular the leadership of Aiken County, whose foresight has helped make this project possible.” –Adger Solar Principal William Moore

“In South Carolina, we have crafted a diverse economy that can accommodate any company, and Adger Solar is the latest to prove that. A $100 million investment represents a tremendous investment in our state and our people, and we look forward to seeing the success Adger will have for many years.” –Gov. Henry McMaster

“We’ve worked hard to diversify South Carolina’s growing economy, and that includes supporting the renewable and sustainable energy industry. Adger Solar is blazing a trail in South Carolina, and the success they’ve had is a further testament to our pro-business environment.” –Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt

“We are very grateful for Adger Solar and their decision to locate in Aiken County. They are well respected in their industry, and we know they will do great things. Aiken County has a long history of working with sustainable alternative energy, and this further solidifies our reputation as a leader in this field.” –Aiken County Council Chairman Andrew Siders

“We greatly appreciate this investment by Adger Solar. Today’s announcement is the second solar farm announced in Aiken County this year. Aiken County continues to be a leader in the alternative renewable energy solutions world.” –Economic Development Partnership Chairman Gary Stooksbury
