Pet treat manufacturing facility to create 76 new jobs
COLUMBIA, S.C. – EOC Naturals today announced plans to locate a new, all-natural pet treat manufacturing facility in Allendale County. The development is projected to bring $3.3 million in capital investment and create 76 new jobs over the next five years.
Manufacturing high-quality, food-grade pet treats since 1989, the company will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2019. Headquartered in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada, EOC Naturals uses state-of-the-art technology to produce a range of products for pets of all sizes under the Eurocan Pet Products brand, as well as for some of the country’s largest retailers.
Located at 3405 Fairfax Allendale Highway in Allendale, S.C., the company’s new manufacturing facility is expected to come online in the second quarter of 2019. Hiring for the new positions is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2019, and the company is working with readySC™ in the recruiting and training of associates.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project. A $500,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant was also awarded to Allendale County to assist with costs associated with the project.
