Alternative fuels company creating more than 40 jobs
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Green Energy Biofuel today announced plans to locate a new recycling facility in Aiken County. The company’s $4.3 million capital investment is projected to create more than 40 jobs over the next five years.
Starting with only two employees in 2008, Green Energy Biofuel has become an innovative alternative fuels company that refines and recycles used cooking oil and other food products from kitchens and food manufacturers. Originally operating only in South Carolina, Green Energy Biofuel now services more than 1,000 restaurants, schools and recycling centers across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Located at 2110 Main Street in Warrenville, S.C., the company’s new 36,000-square-foot facility is expected to come online by December 2018.
