INVISTA expanding Kershaw County operations

Kershaw County, SC – INVISTA, one of the world’s largest producers of polymers and fibers, has announced expansion plans at its Kershaw County operation. The company expects to invest $80 million over the next ten years with the installation of nylon polymer and spinning units and other modernization projects. These plans also include the creation of 20 new jobs.

Established in 1950, Koch Industries purchased the former DuPont facility in 2004 to support INVISTA’s production of fibers, fabrics, polymers, and other specialty industrial products that provide innovative solutions to commercial, residential, automotive, and industrial consumers.  Earlier this year, INVISTA’s Camden facility announced the hiring of 200 new positions making it one of the biggest hiring campaigns ever undertaken by INVISTA.
