New health services office expected to support 150 jobs
COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 17, 2013 – Molina Healthcare, a managed care service provider with existing operations in 17 states, today hosted the grand opening of its new office facility in Charleston County. The new office at 4105 Faber Place Drive in North Charleston is expected to support 150 jobs in the area.
Molina Healthcare provides health services to financially vulnerable families and individuals covered by government programs, such as Medicaid and Medicare. The Long Beach, Calif.-based company was founded more than 30 years ago and presently offers health plans in 10 states, with South Carolina becoming the eleventh state. Molina Healthcare can begin offering health coverage to lower-income families and individuals in South Carolina starting January 1.

Additionally, Molina operates medical clinics in five states and offers health information management and business process outsourcing solutions through a subsidiary, Molina Medicaid Solutions (MMS) in five states.

Since January 2011, South Carolina has recruited more than $1.1 billion in capital investment and 10,600 jobs in the service industry.
