Celebrating, Strengthening South Korean Business Relationships

Secretary of Commerce Harry Lightsey and S.C. Commerce’s international staff proudly represented South Carolina at the 2024 Republic of Korea-Southeast U.S. Economic Partnership Conference (ROK-SEUS), Aug. 23, 2024, in Atlanta.

Multiple Korean-based manufacturers with ties to the Palmetto State were also in attendance — including Newberry County-based Kiswire, Inc. and Samsung South Carolina. Exemplifying the state’s emphasis on collaboration, Samsung's local manufacturing facility partners with the University of South Carolina and Clemson University to leverage advanced manufacturing technologies and expand the boundaries of possibility.
