International: Upcoming Export Training Session to Focus on Incoterms

More than 70 percent of the world’s purchasing power is located outside of the United States. Recognizing this, S.C. Commerce works to support South Carolina companies seeking to expand their international footprints and take advantage of the opportunities that exist in foreign markets.

Among the services offered by the state is a series of export training events, designed to provide businesses with insight into specific issues that affect international trade. Next month, one such event is taking place in Columbia, S.C. on February 8.

Focused on incoterms, the half-day session will provide attendees with information on how to determine responsibilities between buyer and seller through transfer of risk, insurance, documentary requirements and cost of freight.

The registration cost is $125 per person for those that register prior to January 22 and $175 per person after. If your company is a small business with less than 500 employees, you may qualify for State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) grant funds to cover your registration fee. Click here for more information.
