Magna Mirrors has officially started construction on its new facility in Spartanburg County. A division of Magna International, one of the world’s largest suppliers in the automotive industry, Magna employs more than 2,400 South Carolinians.
“Team South Carolina is thrilled that Magna continues to grow its footprint in South Carolina,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt at a ceremony Monday. “Magna has proven to be an exemplary partner to our state and our workforce. We congratulate this great company on the groundbreaking of what will be a remarkable facility.”
At the future 170,000-square-foot operation in Duncan, the company will manufacture complex mirror systems for vehicles and employ 300 individuals.
