Promoting Taiwanese Business Relations

S.C. Commerce, led by Secretary of Commerce Harry Lightsey, was honored to send a state delegation to U.S. Business Opportunities Day in Taiwan in early October to promote global business relations and investment opportunities.

South Carolina has maintained strong ties with Taiwan, going back to a sister-state agreement in 1981. Reinforcing that commitment to partnership, reciprocal collaboration and future successes, the state capped the trip by signing an MOU agreement with Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs.
