On the heels of a December 2022 memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the United Kingdom (U.K.) and a rise in bilateral collaboration since, S.C. Commerce leadership announced the agency’s expansion into the U.K. and Republic of Ireland markets Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024. The new global office, based in London, will have additional staff located in Dublin and will be overseen by Managing Director Roxana Gonzalez. Meet Gonzalez in the video below.
“South Carolina is a global state with an impressive history in foreign direct investment and trade,” said Secretary of Commerce Harry Lightsey. “Our new office, under the leadership of Roxana Gonzalez, symbolizes the strength of South Carolina’s relationships with the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and the opportunities they will continue to create for the people of our state.”
