Strengthening Global Trade, Investment Opportunities with Canada

South Carolina was proud to join the Southeast United States-Canadian Provinces (SEUS-CP) Alliance at the 2024 SEUS-CP Conference, an annual event with the focus of growing economic opportunities between the member regions. Hosted in Biloxi, Mississippi, state and provincial representatives gathered for three days of networking and pivotal industry discussions, including advanced manufacturing technologies and the changing landscapes of ports.

Canada, one of the Palmetto State’s long-time trade partners, was the second-largest export market for S.C.-made goods in 2023. The nation is also a growing source of foreign direct investment for South Carolina, in industries like pharmaceuticals and automotive.

South Carolina will be the next U.S. state to host the event in June 2026.
