COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Doc Depot Inc., a medical document retrieval service, today announced plans to expand its existing operations in Barnwell County. The $250,000 investment is expected to generate 50 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Streit USA Armoring, a maker of armored vehicles, today announced plans to expand current operations in Charleston County. The $5.8 million investment is expected to generate more than 50 new jobs over the next three years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sonoco, a global producer of packaging products, today announced plans to upgrade its Darlington County plant. The $100 million investment is expected to generate up to 10 new jobs, in addition to the more than 1,600 employees currently working for the company in Hartsville.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sensor Electronic Technology Inc., the world’s leading maker of ultraviolet light emitting diodes (UV LEDs), will expand its operations in Richland County. This phase of the company’s expansion plan, which includes retrofitting its existing facility plus the purchase of a new property, is expected to create more than 150 new jobs with over $20 million in capital investment.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Chesterfield County and the City of Cheraw today announced that Schaeffler Group USA, a maker of automotive components, will expand its existing facility in Chesterfield County. The $10 million investment is expected to generate 100 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – BorgWarner, a global automotive powertrain supplier, today announced plans to expand its current facility in Oconee County, which will generate 30 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Boral Stone Products today announced plans to expand operations at its facility in Chester County. The $6 million investment is expected to generate three new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Bondex Inc., a maker of thermally bonded nonwoven materials, today announced that it will expand its existing operations in Edgefield County. The $6.4 million investment is expected to generate 13 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – BMW today announced that the company will expand its plant in Spartanburg County. The $900 million investment is expected to generate 300 new jobs. BMW also commemorated a production milestone today – 2,000,000 vehicles since the company began U.S. production in 1994.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – AVX, a global manufacturer and supplier of electronic and interconnect components, announced plans to increase manufacturing and research operations in Greenville County. The more than $14 million investment is expected to generate 279 new jobs over the next several years.
