COLUMBIA, S.C. – MAKROchem, a leading carbon black supplier for the rubber and tire industries, is establishing its first U.S. operations with a new facility in Lancaster County. The company is planning to invest $7.5 million in the project, creating 20 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Jiangnan Mold Plastic Technology Corporation is establishing operations in Spartanburg County. The company is investing $45 million in the project, which is expected to create 150 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Movement Mortgage, LLC, one of the fastest growing mortgage lenders in the country, is establishing national headquarters in Lancaster County. The company is investing $22 million to build its brand new headquarters, creating more than 650 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Vapor Apparel, a leader in performance apparel manufacturing and digital print-on-demand services, is opening a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Union County.  This marks a major step for the company that focuses on sublimation printing solutions and performance fabrics. The facility will house the company’s domestic cut and sew division, which is a rapidly expanding part of the company’s product line. The $1.3 million investment is expected to create 114 new jobs over five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., a company that specializes in the manufacture, sale and service of construction and transport machinery, is establishing operations in Spartanburg County. The $41 million investment is expected to generate 131 new jobs in Moore, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – PecTec Corporation, a supplier of top-quality semi-finished and finished metal products for the automotive industry, is establishing its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Spartanburg County. The $2 million investment is expected to create 15 new jobs in Spartanburg, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. –Reinicke Athens, Inc. (RAI), a Georgia-based leading industrial contractor, is investing $4.5 million to establish manufacturing operations in Laurens County. The investment is expected to create 30 new jobs over the next three to five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – An industrial company is establishing operations in Greenwood County to convert forest matter into wood pellets. Portucel, S.A. is investing $110 million to open a manufacturing facility in Greenwood, S.C. The investment is expected to create 70 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A processor and convertor of wine and beer waste into fuel-grade ethanol and livestock feed is establishing operations in Marion County. Quality Farms is investing $1.9 million resulting in the creation of 27 new jobs in Mullins, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A family business that specializes in the manufacturing of garden products, premium potting soils and both natural and organic dry and liquid fertilizers is establishing operations in Anderson County. FoxFarm Soil and Fertilizer Company is investing $6.9 million to locate in Pendleton S.C., creating an expected 27 new jobs.
