COLUMBIA, S.C. – SterAssure Processing (SterAssure), a company that specializes in medical waste collection, is establishing its corporate operations in Greenville County. The $2.2 million investment is expected to create 25 new jobs in Greenville, S.C. over the next five years.
The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. establishing Dorchester County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc., a private nonprofit organization providing employment and training for blind individuals, is establishing a manufacturing facility in Dorchester County. The new development will result in a $2 million investment and create more than 20 new jobs by this time next year.
Comcast to build Customer Experience Center of Excellence in North Charleston
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Comcast announced today that it is establishing a new customer service and technical support Center of Excellence in Charleston County. The $21.4 million facility will house more than 550 new employees.
These employees will specialize in providing support for Comcast customers who have the X1 entertainment operating system, high-speed Internet and digital telephone services.
Sitel announces Spartanburg County customer experience center
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sitel, a leading global customer care provider, today announced significant business growth resulting in a new customer experience center in South Carolina. The new facility will bring $2.5 million in capital investment and more than 400 new full-time career opportunities to Spartanburg County in the next five years.
JGBR establishing operations in Colleton County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – JGBR, a manufacturing company headquartered in Rugao, China, has announced the establishment of its South Carolina operations. The company is investing $7.2 million to establish a facility in Colleton County, creating 65 new jobs.
GES Recycling establishes Upstate operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – GESCRAP, a multinational corporation engaged in metal recycling and other auxiliary services for the manufacturing industry, has established operations in Union County. Investing $6.3 million in the facility, the company is expected to generate 21 new jobs over the next five years.
Engineered Plastic Components, Inc. launching Anderson County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Engineered Plastic Components, Inc. (EPC), a provider of plastic injection molded products, has selected Anderson County for the company’s new operations. The $5.3 million investment is expected to create 43 new jobs.
Borgeson Universal Company, Inc. launching Greenville County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Borgeson Universal Company, Inc., a manufacturer of steering joints, is launching its first South Carolina operations in Greenville County. The new development will bring $4.5 million investment to the Upstate and lead to the creation of 36 new jobs.
Mount Franklin Foods establishing new Sumter County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Mount Franklin Foods, a leading North American manufacturer of high-quality candy and nut products, is launching new operations in Sumter County. The project is expected to bring $10 million in new capital investment and lead to the creation of 225 new jobs.
Crystal Distribution, Inc. launching operations in York County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Crystal Distribution, Inc. (CDI), the largest manufacturer of curb adapters in the nation, is establishing new operations in York County. The project is expected to bring $4.8 million in new capital investment and will allow the company to relocate existing positions from its operations in Charlotte; the company will also add new jobs to create a total of 83 positions in South Carolina.
