COLUMBIA, S.C. MM Technics, a newly formed American subsidiary of Muhr Metalltechnik, Gmbh + Co. KG, is constructing a metal stamping facility in Newberry County. The company is expected to invest at least $12.6 million and create 65 jobs over the next five years.

ProBrass Inc. establishing Clarendon County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. – ProBrass Inc., a startup firm specializing in the manufacturing and remanufacturing of rifle brass cartridge cases, is establishing operations in Clarendon County. The company has recently acquired a 144,000-square-foot facility located on 47 acres. The company is investing $40 million in the facility, machinery and equipment, creating more than 70 new jobs in Summerton, S.C.

Labon establishing first U.S. facility in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Labon, a leading technical fiber and textile manufacturer, is establishing its first operations in South Carolina. The Orangeburg County project is expected to bring $3.1 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 23 new jobs.

Established in Shanghai in 2005, Labon specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of technical fibers and textiles for use across a variety of applications, including sealing, friction, hand protection and flame-retardant products.

The operation will produce wood chips and processed bark for the KapStone paper mill in North Charleston, S.C.
