COLUMBIA, S.C. – Schaeffler Group USA Inc., a company that has thrived in South Carolina, continues to expand its operations in York County with an additional $36.5 million investment that will create 105 new jobs. Today’s announcement complements Schaeffler’s prior expansion projects in Spartanburg, Chesterfield and York Counties, all of which were announced in January 2015. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – GESCRAP, a multinational corporation engaged in metal recycling and other auxiliary services for the manufacturing industry, has established operations in Union County. Investing $6.3 million in the facility, the company is expected to generate 21 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Engineered Plastic Components, Inc. (EPC), a provider of plastic injection molded products, has selected Anderson County for the company’s new operations. The $5.3 million investment is expected to create 43 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Central Wire, Inc. (CWI), a stainless and specialty alloy wire manufacturer, is expanding its Lancaster County wire operation. The expansion is expected to bring $2 million in new capital investment and create 18 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Advanced Ceramic Coatings (ACC), a 50-50 joint venture between GE Aviation and Turbocoating Corporation, will be launching new operations in Spartanburg County. This project represents $15 million in new capital investment and the creation of 50 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Ortec, a leading biomaterial and polymer technology company, is expanding its existing operations in Anderson County. Complementing recent growth at its facilities in both Pickens and Greenville Counties, the company intends to invest $20 million and create 60 new jobs in Anderson County.

Fiberglass manufacturer investing at least $5 million in Greenville County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – B&W Fiberglass, Inc., an advanced materials manufacturer, is launching its first operations in South Carolina by acquiring a new facility in Greenville County. The company will be investing at least $5 million and creating 46 new jobs with this new development.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Evonik Corporation, a German chemical manufacturing company, is launching new operations in Berkeley County. The project will result in at least $120 million of new capital investment and the creation of more than 50 jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – PL Developments, a manufacturer, packager and distributor of pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare products, is launching new Greenville County operations to expand its presence in South Carolina. The new development is projected to bring $45 million in new capital investment and lead to the creation of 450 jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – MM Technics, a newly formed American subsidiary of Muhr Metalltechnik, Gmbh + Co. KG, is constructing a metal stamping facility in Newberry County. The company is expected to invest at least $12.6 million and create 65 jobs over the next five years.
