COLUMBIA, S.C. - Birdsong Corporation, a Virginia-based company that processes peanuts for marketing and distribution worldwide, will locate a new facility in Darlington County.
McCall Farms expanding Florence County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – McCall Farms, the South Carolina-based manufacturers of Margaret Holmes, Glory Foods, Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts and Bruce’s Yams, is expanding its existing Florence County operations with a new, state-of-the-art production facility. The $4 million investment is expected to generate 25 new jobs in Effingham, S.C. over the next five years.
Cott Beverages expanding Upstate operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Cott Beverages , U.S. subsidiary to Cott Corporation (NYSE:COT; TSX:BCB) , one of the world’s largest producers of beverages on behalf of retailers, brand owners and distributors, is expanding its existing Greenville County operations with the addition of a new warehouse and distribution center. The new facility represents a $10 million investment.
Bimbo Bakeries USA expanding Orangeburg County manufacturing operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. –Bimbo Bakeries USA, a subsidiary of Mexico’s Grupo Bimbo – one of the world’s largest bakery firms, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Orangeburg County. This expansion is expected to create 30 new jobs in Orangeburg, S.C. over the next five years.
Bimbo Bakeries USA will remain in its existing facility, located at 272 Broughton Street in Orangeburg, but will renovate and install new equipment to expand its capability.
Sun City Produce establishing new Upstate distribution center
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sun City Produce, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sun Commodities, Inc., is establishing operations in Greenville County. The project is expected to create 81 new jobs in Piedmont, S.C. over the next five years.
Headquartered in Pompano Beach, Fla., Sun Commodities, Inc., which operates as the Sun Group of Companies, is a privately-held organization majority-owned by Hillandale Farms. As a leading producer of fresh fruits and vegetables, the firm is aiming to expand its growing retail market across the Southeast in the coming years.
Cobb-Vantress, Inc. establishing operations in the Upstate
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Cobb-Vantress, Inc., a leading poultry research and development firm and subsidiary of Tyson Foods, Inc., will begin construction on a new feed mill in Laurens County, South Carolina early in 2016, with completion planned towards the middle of 2017. The $22 million investment is expected to create about 12 new jobs in Joanna, S.C.
D&W Fine Pack expanding Upstate operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – D&W Fine Pack (D&W), a Mid Oaks Investment portfolio company, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Laurens County. The company’s $20 million investment is expected to create 60 new jobs in Fountain Inn, S.C. over the next five years.
Boise Cascade Company expanding Chester County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Boise Cascade Company (NYSE: BCC), one of the largest producers of plywood and engineered wood products in North America and a leading U.S. wholesale distributor of building products, is expanding its existing operations in Chester County. The company is investing $23.5 million in the facility, creating 52 new jobs in Chester, S.C.
Rogers Brothers Farm to establish new peanut facility in Darlington County
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Rogers Brothers Farm, a crop producer based in Hartsville, S.C., will establish a new peanut facility in Darlington County.
