KI Logistics locating new operations at Greenville County’s Matrix Technology Park
COLUMBIA, S.C. – November 1, 2013 – KI Logistics, a subsidiary of global logistics leader and innovator Kimura, Inc., today announced that it will establish its new North American headquarters and a major logistics facility at The Matrix Business and Technology Park in Greenville County. The $11.5 million investment is expected to generate as many as 149 new jobs over the next several years.
American Tactical Imports establishing operations in Summerville
COLUMBIA, S.C. – October 28, 2013 – American Tactical Imports (ATI), a worldwide importer of firearms, ammunition and tactical equipment to the United States, announced today that it will open a warehousing and distribution location in Dorchester County. The Eastport Industrial Park location in Summerville also will be the site for limited firearm assembly, as well as the company’s headquarters, its customer service center and its sales office. The $2.7 million investment is expected to generate 117 new jobs.
Marleylilly expanding Upstate operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Marleylilly, an e-commerce business specializing in monogrammed gifts, accessories, and non-monogrammed boutique apparel, is expanding its Upstate operations with new corporate operations in Greenville County. The $10 million investment is expected to create 69 new jobs in Greer, S.C. over the next five years.
SYNNEX Corporation to expand U.S. distribution headquarters in Greenville County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), a leading distributor of IT products and services with its U.S. distribution headquarters in Greenville County, announced today that the company will expand its existing facility with a 40,000-square-foot addition to accommodate its growing workforce. The $6.5 million expansion will allow the company to hire 150 additional full-time associates to address the fast-paced growth of the company.
Amazon expanding Lexington County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Amazon, a global leader in e-commerce, today announced plans to hire 500 additional full-time employees at the company’s Lexington County fulfillment center.
Since opening in 2012, the Amazon fulfillment center in West Columbia, S.C. has brought more than 1,500 full-time jobs to Lexington County. Amazon is adding the new positions to meet growing customer demand. Employees will pick, pack and ship customer orders.
Broad River Furniture establishing corporate campus and distribution center in York County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Ashley Furniture HomeStore licensee Broad River Furniture, a home furnishings retailer, is establishing a new corporate campus and distribution center in York County. The $12.6 million investment is expected to bring 200 jobs to Fort Mill, S.C.
Haddon House Food Products expanding Chester County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Haddon House Food Products, the largest privately-owned distributor, importer and exporter of specialty, natural, organic, ethnic and kosher foods, is expanding its Chester County operations. The company is investing $4.6 million to expand its operations in Richburg, S.C. The investment is expected to create 55 new jobs.
Rite Aid selects Spartanburg County for new distribution center
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Rite Aid Corporation announced today plans to build a 900,000-square-foot distribution center in Spartanburg, S.C. The new distribution center is expected to employ nearly 600 people after it becomes fully operational and will support the inventory and fulfillment needs of approximately 1,000 Rite Aid stores in the Southeastern United States. The Spartanburg distribution center, a $90 million project, will be Rite Aid’s first new distribution facility in 15 years.
PolyQuest Inc. Announces Expansion in Darlington County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – August 16, 2011 – PolyQuest Inc., North America’s largest distributor of virgin and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins, today announced the expansion of its Darlington County recycling and distribution facility. The expansion will involved a total estimated investment of $8 million and create approximately 20 new jobs.
Southeast Frozen Foods expanding Calhoun County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Southeast Frozen Foods, a company which provides retail distribution to grocery stores and cold storage for processors, manufacturers and distributors, is expanding its operations in Calhoun County. This new expansion will result in a capital investment of $6 million and create 30 new jobs. This is Southeast Frozen Foods’ third expansion over the last eight years, representing more than $20 million in cumulative capital investments and more than 100 jobs created.
