Committed to South Carolina's Business Community, from "Launch to Legacy"

Global industry is in the midst of transformational change, catalyzed by technological advancements and rapidly evolving markets.

To build upon decades of economic development achievement while aligning the state for long-term competitiveness in the face of such change, S.C. Commerce also unveiled its new brand during The Governor’s Economic Summit. The new tagline, “Launch to Legacy,” reinforces that companies can start, thrive, expand and build a legacy anywhere in the Palmetto State.

The greater-Southeast, particularly the coastal region, remains a leading destination for individuals, industry leaders and site selection consultants, alike. Among a crowded market, S.C. Commerce’s “Launch to Legacy” campaign focuses on what sets South Carolina apart through three key elements:

  1. When you invest in South Carolina, you grow – as a business, a person and community.
  2. South Carolina is built for the new economy – people can work where they love.
  3. South Carolina is the new home and headquarters of American innovation.

With an eye toward the future and a nod to the state’s heritage, the reimagined palmetto tree emblem and crescent moon convey the growth, innovation and progress realized by the legacy of successful businesses throughout South Carolina. Those companies, across every industry, have maximized the business-friendly climate, talented workforce and high quality of life for which South Carolina is known. The new brand also reinforces S.C. Commerce’s commitment to remain each company’s trusted partner throughout the entire business life cycle.

The “Launch to Legacy” campaign spotlights four South Carolina CEOs and how their companies have found local success, in their own words.
