Small business lender matchmaker event scheduled for October 22nd

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The South Carolina Department of Commerce, along with several partner organizations, will be hosting a small business lender matchmaker event on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Columbia, S.C.

The workshop is aimed at assisting small business owners with financing strategies as well as providing opportunities to connect with potential lenders. Small business owners will also learn from finance professionals on how to improve their business strategies and prepare for funding challenges.

South Carolina export sales top $30 billion in 2015, achieve sixth consecutive record year

COLUMBIA, S.C. –For the sixth consecutive year, the State of South Carolina has set a record for total export sales. Today, Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the South Carolina Ports Authority announced that the State’s 2015 export sales totaled $30.9 billion, according to data from the U.S. Department of Commerce. The figure represents a more than four percent increase over the 2014 total.
