KION North America expanding operations in the Lowcountry
COLUMBIA, S.C. – KION North America, a member of KION Group AG, which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of industrial trucks, will be expanding its Dorchester County operations. To accommodate increased customer demand, KION will be investing $5.7 million in its existing operations, creating more than 50 new jobs over the next five years.

Located in North Charleston, S.C., the expansion is expected to bring $13 million of new capital investment and lead to the creation of 22 new jobs.
Fukoku America expanding its Laurens County operations
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Fukoku America, a manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive products is growing its operations in Laurens County. The expansion is expected to bring $13.9 million in new investment and lead to the creation of 65 jobs.
Gestamp North America expanding existing Union County operations

AVX will be investing $35 million in this expansion, creating 100 new jobs in the coming years.
