COLUMBIA, S.C. - Sandvik, Inc., manufacturer of carbide inserts for the metal cutting industry and subsidiary of the Swedish company Sandvik, AB, is expanding its operations in Oconee County. The $12 million investment is expected to increase the company's production at its Westminster facility.  

"This investment is a continuation of our commitment to maintain world class manufacturing in our Westminster facility" as was stated by Anders Hillman, Director of the Westminster Production Unit. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. - CHOMARAT North America, a manufacturer of reinforcement materials for the composite and building industries and subsidiary of the CHOMARAT Group, is expanding its current operations in Anderson County. The $10 million investment will bring 20 new jobs along with new equipment and additional manufacturing space. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Stueken LLC, which provides precision deep draw and metal stamping components to the automotive, electronics and consumer goods markets, will expand its Fountain Inn location to address growing customer demand.  The $3.2 million investment will add at least 27 new positions in the near future. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The DRÄXLMAIER Group, one of the world’s top automotive suppliers, is expanding its existing manufacturing operations in Spartanburg County. The company is investing more than $35 million in the project, creating 94 new jobs in Duncan, S.C. over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Pro Towels, the largest towel supplier to the promotional product industry, is expanding its existing operations in Abbeville County. The company is investing more than $1.7 million in the project, creating 50 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – OMP Mechtron, LLC, a manufacturer of mechanical parts and electronic integration, is expanding its existing Midlands operations by establishing a new facility in Lexington County. The company is investing $2.9 million in its new operations, creating 20 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Shaw Industries, Inc. (Shaw) has announced it is investing at least $45 million in its Lexington County, S.C. carpet fiber plant for additional capacity for both nylon and polyester production. The investment will create more than 50 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Haier America has announced plans to expand its Kershaw County refrigerator manufacturing operations, which will support Haier’s continued growth and help the company deliver on its commitment to provide whole-home solutions for modern living in the U.S. A subsidiary of Haier Group, the world’s leading appliance brand, Haier America will contribute $72 million more to its existing $40-million facility, creating 410 new jobs in Camden, South Carolina, within the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – AmbioPharm, Inc. (APi), a company that specializes in the manufacturing of peptides and the development of generic drugs, is expanding its existing Aiken County operations. The company is investing $18.8 million in the expansion and will create 100 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing, Inc., a company that specializes in the manufacturing of world-class all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and side-by-side (SxS) vehicles, is expanding its existing Florence County operations, with the addition of two new product lines – the Pioneer 1000 and the Pioneer 1000-5. The company is investing $42 million to launch the new lines, resulting in the creation of 44 new jobs.
