Carpenters Woodworks and Restoration, a family-owned business specializing in custom woodworking and restoration, today announced an expansion of its operation in Charleston County. The $1.54 million investment will create 20 new jobs.

Governor Henry McMaster and the South Carolina Department of Commerce (S.C. Commerce) today announced that Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), a leading producer of hot and cold beverages, will continue the development of its state-of-the-art coffee roasting and manufacturing facility in Spartanburg County.

West Fraser, one of the largest timber producers in North America, today announced it is growing its Newberry County sawmill operations with its third expansion in 10 years. The $17.7 million investment will create 30 new jobs.

Frampton Construction, a full-service construction firm, today announced it is growing its regional headquarters with an expansion in Charleston County. The $12.9 million investment will create 69 new jobs. 

PolyQuest Inc. (PolyQuest), a thermoplastic resin distributor, today announced it will acquire Baker Transportation, Inc. (Baker Transportation) in Williamsburg County. Through the acquisition, the company aims to expand its capability to deliver resin products to customers in the bottle, sheet, strapping, film, fiber, compounding and injection molding markets. The acquisition will create 25 new jobs.

Mungo Homes, a home builder with communities throughout the Southeast, is expanding its corporate headquarters in Richland County. The $10 million investment will create 40 new jobs.

Mungo Homes will build a new, 20,250-square-foot facility to house marketing, human resources, information technology, accounting, purchasing and customer service teams. The new building will sit adjacent to the current headquarters, located at 441 Western Lane in Irmo, which will receive extensive renovations.

Averitt Express, a freight transportation and supply chain service provider, today announced it expanded its operations in Charleston County. The company’s $4.58 million investment will create 12 new jobs.

Lima One Capital, one of the nation’s premier lenders for real estate investors, today announced plans to expand its U.S. headquarters in Greenville County. The company’s $51.4 million investment will create approximately 300 new jobs.

Gov. Henry McMaster and the S.C. Department of Commerce today announced that Itron, a global industrial Internet of Things (IoT) leader that innovates the way utilities and cities manage energy and water, plans to expand its Oconee County operations. The company is planning a capital expenditure of $28.5 million over three years that will create nearly 100 new jobs in the area.

Protego (USA), Inc. (Protego (USA)), a global industrial equipment manufacturer, today announced plans to expand its Charleston County operations. The company’s $10.1 million investment will create 39 new jobs.

Founded in 1954, Protego (USA) builds and provides devices and tank equipment for the oil and gas, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and bio-energy industries. The company’s products include flame arresters, valves and tank equipment, as well as new products for cryogenic storage applications.
