COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gissing North America LLC, a leading manufacturer of acoustic systems for the automotive industry, today announced plans to establish operations in Greenville County. The $18.7 million investment will create 116 new jobs.

Founded in 2016, Gissing North America LLC is an acoustic and sound package solutions provider for the automotive industry. The company designs, develops and manufactures components and solutions to reduce noise, vibration and harshness and improve acoustics for a variety of vehicles.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Governor Henry McMaster and the S.C. Department of Commerce today announced that E. & J. Gallo Winery (Gallo), a global wine and spirits company, will build a new state-of-the-art production facility and distribution center in Chester County to support future business growth and its long-term innovation plans. The $423 million investment will create 496 new jobs over the next eight years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Materials Research Group, a glass manufacturer, today announced plans to establish operations in Beaufort County. The company’s $3.1 million investment will create 27 new jobs.

Founded in 1998, Materials Research Group specializes in manufacturing ready-to-press glass powders, glass preforms and solder glass rings. The company’s hermetic sealing glasses are utilized in the aerospace, sensor, automotive, medical and battery markets.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – SouthWood Corporation (SouthWood), a leading provider of signage products and services, today announced plans to establish operations in York County. The more than $6.4 million investment will create 73 new jobs.

The 51-year-old designated veteran-owned business is a full-service, design-build signage firm that provides in-house consultation, project management, design development, manufacturing and installation.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Kerns Trucking, Inc., a regional transportation and logistics company, today announced plans to establish its corporate headquarters in Cherokee County. The more than $7.9 million investment will create 136 new jobs.

Palmetto Yacht Management, a marine transport company, today announced plans to establish operations in Clarendon County. The more than $3.7 million investment will create 211 new jobs over the next five years.

Founded in 2007, Palmetto Yacht Management specializes in luxury and oversized marine transport along the East Coast. Additionally, the company offers secure storage service for personal boats.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – An industrial company is establishing operations in Greenwood County to convert forest matter into wood pellets. Portucel, S.A. is investing $110 million to open a manufacturing facility in Greenwood, S.C. The investment is expected to create 70 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – General Electric (GE) today broke ground on a new, state-of-the-art Power & Water advanced manufacturing facility, announcing plans to invest $400 million and create more than 80 new jobs over the next 10 years in Greenville County to expand the company’s advanced manufacturing capabilities.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. (Keurig), a leader in specialty coffee and innovative single-serve brewing systems, today announced plans to construct a new, state-of-the-art roasting and packaging facility in Spartanburg County, S.C. The company is projected to bring $350 million of capital investment and create 500 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - IPSUM Technologies, a high-tech, advanced manufacturing company serving a variety of industries, today announced plans to launch new production operations in Pickens County. The company's $19.2 million investment is projected to create approximately 55 new jobs.
