COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gissing North America LLC, a leading manufacturer of acoustic systems for the automotive industry, today announced plans to establish operations in Greenville County. The $18.7 million investment will create 116 new jobs.
Founded in 2016, Gissing North America LLC is an acoustic and sound package solutions provider for the automotive industry. The company designs, develops and manufactures components and solutions to reduce noise, vibration and harshness and improve acoustics for a variety of vehicles.
E. & J. Gallo Winery establishing a new East Coast facility in Chester County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Governor Henry McMaster and the S.C. Department of Commerce today announced that E. & J. Gallo Winery (Gallo), a global wine and spirits company, will build a new state-of-the-art production facility and distribution center in Chester County to support future business growth and its long-term innovation plans. The $423 million investment will create 496 new jobs over the next eight years.
Materials Research Group establishing operations in Beaufort County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Materials Research Group, a glass manufacturer, today announced plans to establish operations in Beaufort County. The company’s $3.1 million investment will create 27 new jobs.
Founded in 1998, Materials Research Group specializes in manufacturing ready-to-press glass powders, glass preforms and solder glass rings. The company’s hermetic sealing glasses are utilized in the aerospace, sensor, automotive, medical and battery markets.
SouthWood Corporation establishing operations in York County

Founded in 2007, Palmetto Yacht Management specializes in luxury and oversized marine transport along the East Coast. Additionally, the company offers secure storage service for personal boats.
