COLUMBIA, S.C. – Harbor Freight Tools, a leading retailer of tools and equipment, today announced it is growing its South Carolina footprint with a new operation in Anderson County. The company’s $30 million investment will create 36 new jobs.

Founded in 1977, Harbor Freight Tools is a retailer of value-priced, high-quality tools and equipment, including hand, power, automotive and industrial tools. The company established its first South Carolina operation, a distribution center located in Dillon County, in 2002.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Smartpress, a commercial online printing company, today announced it selects Spartanburg County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The $9.6 million investment will create 150 new jobs.

Headquartered in Minnesota, Smartpress is one of the fastest-growing printers in North America for businesses and creative professionals. The company operates out of offices and production facilities in seven locations across the U.S. and ships hundreds of orders every day. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – ARKU Inc. (ARKU), a leader in sheet metal leveling and deburring, today announced it selects Spartanburg County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The multimillion-dollar investment will create approximately 10 new jobs.

Founded in Germany in 1928, ARKU is a family-owned manufacturer of sheet metal levelers, deburring machines and coil lines. The company’s innovative technologies and machines improve metal quality and increase process reliability during production.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Unified Resources in Display (Unified Resources), an innovative retail and merchandising agency, today announced it selects Jasper County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The company’s $14 million investment will create 143 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, a leading temperature-controlled logistics provider, today announced it selects Charleston County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Meta today announced it is establishing the company’s first South Carolina operation with a new data center in Aiken County. The $800 million investment will support 100 new operational jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Carbotech Group (Carbotech), an equipment manufacturer for the sawmill industry, today announced it selects Spartanburg County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The $3.4 million investment will create 35 new jobs.

Founded in Canada in 1987, Carbotech specializes in operational efficiency for sawing and planing mills. The company produces log handling and wood processing optimization equipment tailored to customer needs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Halton MEI USA, Inc. (Halton), a leader in indoor climate technology, today announced it selects Anderson County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation – a manufacturing facility.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Fenecon, a provider of energy storage systems, today announced it is establishing its first North American operation with headquarters and manufacturing in Greenville County. The company’s $3 million investment will create 68 new jobs. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Palmetto Corporation, a site development and construction company, today announced it is growing its South Carolina footprint with a new operation in Fairfield County. The company’s $15.7 million investment will create 79 new jobs.
