Climax Global Energy Inc. Announces New Facility in Barnwell County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 22, 2011 – Climax Global Energy Inc. today announced plans to locate a new state-of-the-art plastics-to-oil recycling facility in Barnwell County. The $5 million investment is expected to generate 20 new jobs.

PeopleMatter Announces New Headquarters in Charleston

Continental Tire the Americas LLC Announces New Plant in Sumter County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – October 6, 2011 – Continental Tire the Americas (CTA) today announced plans to build a new tire manufacturing plant in Sumter County to meet growing demand from both the retail level and automotive manufacturers. The $500 million investment is expected to generate 1,700 new jobs in South Carolina over the next 10 years.

Universal Trade Solutions Inc. Announces New Facility in Orangeburg County

JBE Inc. Announces New Jobs in Darlington County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Baxter Enterprises and Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering, companies owned by the Schulte family and full-service suppliers for the plastics industry, are establishing operations in Oconee County. The firms are investing $20.7 million in the project, creating 87 new jobs over the next five years.

Essex Weld Solutions establishing Cherokee County operations

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Essex Weld Solutions, an international manufacturer of automotive racking products, is establishing operations in Cherokee County with Essex Weld USA Inc. The development will bring a capital investment of $2.6 million to the Upstate and create 70 new jobs.
