Albemarle Corporation (Albemarle), a global leader in transforming essential resources such as lithium and bromine into critical ingredients for mobility, energy, connectivity and health, today announced plans to establish South Carolina operations in Chester County. The company will invest at least $1.3 billion and create more than 300 new jobs to construct a new “Mega-Flex” lithium hydroxide processing facility.

Cirba Solutions, a comprehensive battery management and materials company, today announced plans to build its newest state-of-the-art, flagship operations in Richland County. This integrated lithium-ion battery materials campus will be an initial investment of over $300 million and will create more than 300 new jobs.

ZEB Metals, as part of a newly established joint venture with Glencore, today announced plans to establish its first South Carolina operations in Berkeley County. The company’s new operations will create 28 new jobs.

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of South Carolina (Southern Glazer’s), a leading wine and spirits distribution company, today announced plans to relocate operations to Lexington County. The company is investing $80 million to build a new, state-of-the-art distribution facility.

Patten Seed Company, one of the largest turfgrass producers in the Southeast, today announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Charleston County. The company’s $2.2 million investment will create 40 new jobs.

Mattress Warehouse, a leading mattress company, today announced plans to establish a new distribution center in Lexington County. The company will create 108 new jobs.

Tin Thanh Group Americas, a tire manufacturer, today announced plans to establish its first United States operations which will be in Allendale County. The company’s $68 million investment will create 1,031 new jobs.

Located at Walker Road in Fairfax, Tin Thanh Group Americas will build a new facility in Allendale County. Tin Thanh Group Americas’ South Carolina location will allow the company to manufacture and retread large commercial vehicle tires, as well as operate its commercial tire leasing program.

Hounen Solar (Hounen), a global solar panel manufacturer, today announced plans to establish its first United States manufacturing operations in Orangeburg County. The company’s $33 million investment will create 200 new jobs.

Carter Lumber, a leading building materials supplier, today announced plans to expand its South Carolina footprint with new operations in Florence County. The company’s $26 million investment will create 80 new jobs.

Summit Paper Tube, Inc. (Summit Paper Tube), a paper tube manufacturer, today announced plans to establish its first South Carolina operations in Williamsburg County. The company’s $1.68 million investment will create 19 new jobs.

Founded in North Carolina, Summit Paper Tube is a manufacturer of spiral wound paper tubes used for paper, nonwoven fabric, shipping and cable reels.
