COLUMBIA, S.C. – Siemens Industry Inc., a maker of mechanical and electrical drive equipment, today announced plans to establish a new plant in Greenville County.

According to Doug Keith, president of Siemens Drive Technologies Division, the new South Carolina geared motor facility will place the company and its products manufactured in South Carolina closer to machine builders and manufacturers in the Southeastern United States.

Ross Stores opening new facility in York County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Ross Stores Inc. (“Ross”) will open a new distribution and warehousing facility in York County. Under a five year program, the new 1.2 million square foot facility is expected to generate approximately 600 new jobs over that time period. Ross plans to use the new Rock Hill facility to distribute merchandise to its retail stores located in 30 states. The distribution center is expected to be up and running sometime in 2013.
